We support several home and foreign missionaries. Our pastor is on the church planting committee for ARBCA. We have supported a church plant in Ashville North Carolina and look to encourage and support plants closer to Bartlesville. We directly support missionaries in Kenya, Mozambique, Brazil, and Jamaica. We indirectly support missionaries through ARBCA in Canada, Peru, Columbia, Ireland and the Far East. We have hosted a VBS for our missionary in Kingston, Jamaica, ministering to 120 inner city children. In Brazil, we support Fiel Ministries and their Adopt-a-Pastor Program. This provides pastoral and theological books and resources for national pastors who otherwise would not have access to such tools. These pastors and their wives are also ministered to at an annual conference with international speakers. From William Carey onward, missions have been the in the hearts of Reformed Baptists.
The women of GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH enjoy coming together to share many times of encouragement. The Ladies’ Bible Study is a bi-weekly Tuesday meeting designed to gather women for a time of teaching and discussion of God’s Word. Through these studies, we are called into fellowship with God and with one another. For many years God’s grace has led us in the study of His Word and we welcome women of the community to join us in this exciting journey. We show our support for each other as we pray together each week and know that many will continue to lift us up in prayer.
The men of our congregation meet for bible study on Sunday evenings after the evening service. They also hold quarterly men’s meetings to discuss church business and spend time in fellowship. They travel to Grove OK every year for a men’s retreat in the Fall.
At GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH we have see a large number of college students and young people that have found the truths of the past age are still relevant today. We have started to reach out to the local colleges and have seen God blessing this ministry. We are holding a weekly meeting to share the deep truths of God’s word on Friday mornings at Jude’s, a local coffee shop. Our pastor lets the students ask any question about the faith they have, and then guides them in in-depth discussions. It is a growing time for all. We also hold social events in the homes for our members so that the students feel welcome and valued.
Grace Baptist Church of Bartlesville has always recognized that it is important that everyone serves and works together. We have youth, but we do not offer a traditional “youth” group. Our youth are encouraged to get together for activities and fellowship outside of the church. We have also been able to be a part of S.B.F.Y.C. (Saved By Faith Youth Challenge) Summer Camp that is in Bolivar, Missouri the last 6 years. This camp is geared to aide in the training that is already given in the home and in our church. S.B.F.Y.C. welcomes families to come and be a part of the learning as well.
